Re: I smiled because...

this made me smile a couple of weeks ago, one of my dogs got the runs, she looks a bit sad here but i think there is a bit of acting thrown in there as she got the mince (the hand minced at migros mince!) and some rice so it wasnt all bad!

i-smiled-because-img_0034.jpg

knowing her street dog/german shepherd cunning shes probably angling to get the runs again just so she can get some more mince

i was wondering where my rain jacket had gone to, and on the walk to aldi this morning someone had draped it over the railings near a farm, so i must have dropped it 4 days ago. nice that the swiss are so honest.

I smiled because I decided to annoy you with this picture of a bat.

It's one of the 48 bats which live under my roof

And this is very exciting...

I dreamt that this thread had finally been put to pasture.....
Sorry mate - just don`t read it if good news bother you.
This last 2 weeks have been 2 of the worst of my life, culminating in a most difficult day yesterday.
Got back to Switzerland last night and popped out briefly today.
When I got back I saw there were 2 missed calls, and found out it was `MOBILITY` - I wondered what they wanted so I called them back and a young lady told me that someone had found my wallet on the tram.
Can`t be mine I thought, I haven`t lost it. She said it must be yours - it had your mobility card in it.
It was then that I realised that in fact my wallet was missing.
This lady - a good samaritan had found it on the tram and taken the trouble to call someone. There was quite a bitt of cash in there and all of my cards - I went up to her address and collected the wallet - all things still there.
It`s a good feeeling to know that there are many genuine honest people around.
I`m going to make sure she receives a nice gift on Monday, to show my gratitude.
I smiled . . . . . because of that.

Thank you Ariel Stain Remover that after hand scrub/dry on repeat about 20 times, has gotten rid off that evil purple black stain on my whiter than white jeans. Wooooo

Re: I smiled because...

...after a tough day,a tough energy-sapping week,l was walking home and a family was walking in my direction(mom pushing a pram, dad walking holding their 4year old son).

500m apart, the little boy sees me and has a big smile on his face and keeps staring, holding my gaze l start smiling back and he's jumping excitedly, l do the most natural thing and open my arms and he starts running towards me...of course l catch him in a big embrace and carry him back to his embarrassed folks with this Big Smile plastered on my face..of course it was all l needed today

Re: I smiled because...

The orchestra and soloists of La Lune festival are just practicing bellow my windows. They play in the evenings, if it was any whatever noise I would be bugged to have to listen to it till midnight, but this festival is extraordinary.

(go, xylophone, go go)
