Re: I smiled because...

I love your thread.
All the time, I try to be happy, even if a situation is no so good to me. So, I try to think in funny situations or a movie, I don´t know.

One day, I watched a movie named UP! and the moment the little boy switch the bottons on the dogs laces, these dogs changes the langage. . For me it´s soooo fffunnnyyy. I study Linguistics, you know!

I smiled because after being in beautiful Sweden and seeing the northern lights, I realised how much more beautiful Switzerland is as the plane descended.

Because the boys in my class have the weirdest conversations when they are speaking amongst themselves. Yesterday's conversations was all about baked goods.

Re: I smiled because...

A couple months ago, I heard beautiful songs of birds on my house ceiling. They were a family of little parrots in battle against other species. They are so noisy! but it´s much marvelous to hear them.

Re: I smiled because...

I didn't get Switzerlanded.

I lost my ticket for the car park at the swimming pool and was fully expecting to have to pay for the day as that's what usually happens if you lose a ticket anywhere.

But no. I pressed the button, told the man on the other end that I'd lost my ticket, he asked what time I'd arrived. I could hear him messing about a bit then 1chf appeared in the screen. He said to pay the 1 chf and a new ticket would pop out if the machine and it did.

No extra cost at all even though I was the one who lost it in the first place, I was smiling all the way home.

I smiled last night when I looked at my grown kids plus daughter's boyfriend sitting next to each other like little kids, enjoying their burgers and fries.❤

Re: I smiled because...

I smiled reading my own list of "good thoughts", a super fast assignment I gave students today. I also smiled at how fast people work when they diss and how generally much slower it is to elicit good, positive, appraising thoughts.

(buh, if I manage to not post it upside down..)

Re: I smiled because...

I smiled because I haven´t noticed in my french text that I wrote a sentence like this: "the after-consuming scraps ", so I´ve just realized it when I tried to explain the management politics where I teach. In this case, my text sentence meant that all the scraps are consumed by buyers and it wasn´t this. I´d like to explain that there is a management of scraps came from after-consuming products, like electronic products, you know?).

Re: I smiled because...

It's a beautiful sunny day and the garden is 'springing' to life. I've just spent an enjoyable couple of hours tidying up and discovering everything that's starting to grow again.

Yes, we went out for a walk this morning and there are snowdrops, primroses and crocuses popping up all over the place.
I really envy you your garden BM.

A few crocuses and primroses too in my garden, but more interesting are the new wild orchises ... they are spreading more and more over the garden...
