My car suddenly wasn't working properly (loss of power - caused by fritzed DPF filter). Thing is, next weekend I've got a permit for parking in the centre of Basel, which is car specific, so I really need my car to be available - loading and unloading lots of heavy stuff. So I took the car in yesterday (Friday).

Anyway, I took my car to Centra Garage, explained the urgency, they ordered the part and fitted it this morning. This during a time when they're unexpectedly busy and have two mechanics on vacation.

This is not the first time they've put in extra effort to resolve an issue in an emergency.

In accordance with Political Correctness guidelines, I've checked my privileges and come to the conclusion that I'm awesome.

Why the rush? Next weekend is quite a few days away yet.

I'm sure that with a little thought you could come up with some possible reasons why the car would have been needed before next Friday, and why not having it early in the week could cause severe difficulties. I didn't think it needed spelling out when the point was that when we needed fast work, they provided excellent service, and as I said, not for the first time.

Now I just wait for the bill.

Blocked DPF? You don't drive on the autobahn or make long trips I guess?
