Need to sell furniture quickly in Geneva

Hello guys,

any advice on selling furniture in Geneva? I have beds, wardrobes, sofas, cupboard, etc. (moving from a house).

We need to move urgently and I spent quite a lot of money on furnishing a rented house in Geneva... Do not want it to go to waste. Plus furniture is really nice and great condition.

I posted a link on Market place here - Any other advice?

I'd try posting it in the classified section of glocals, they seem to have a high turnover. You could also try olx.ch or anibis.ch

Best of luck with your furniture!

Re: Need to sell furniture quickly in Geneva

If in the end you are left with things you did not manage to sell but donīt really want to take with you and they are in good condition, there are a number of charities in Geneva that pick them up to sell them in their shops (Caritas, Emmaus, Salvation Army, etc.). They pick them up from your actual flat, not the pavement, but obviously do not pay you (see it as your donation :-). Call around as some have longer waiting times until they have a slot available. A list is to the left of this document http://ge.ch/dechets/media/dechets/f...-menage-09.pdf

On Glocals put lots of description, exact measurements, an idea of when things were bought, the brand name of the item, photographs (also of handles, finishes, details, of the inside of fridges, wardrobes, etc. - I am serious!) and so on, otherwise you might get many questions that take up a lot of your time. I learned from experience...

Good luck with the sale and move!
