Identify That Tree - Zurich
Hello Tree Huggers,
I found a site called
Baumradar
which identifies the species of every tree in public spaces in Zurich.
Hours of fun guaranteed.

Re: Identify That Tree - Zurich
Very nice.
Be warned it's slow to start the first time - it can do better than "square" or "pentagonal" which is what you get on the first page
Also - two trees on Lindenhof aren't Linden !!! That's just not CH !

Re: Identify That Tree - Zurich
If it is slow use the official City Map, which has every tree listed:

The very large tree on Bleicherweg is a Sequoia. Very cool!

Re: Identify That Tree - Zurich
There is another Sequoia. Interestingly it is not marked on the map.
You can find it at Hohlstrasse near Banhof Altstetten in front of Bank Julius Bär

There used to be two of them until last year.
Very sad one had to be cut down, but apparently it was in such poor state that it couldn't be saved.
