where to watch crackers at zurich lake

Hi,
does anybody know what is the best place to watch crackers at the zurich lake tonight? we have some guests with kids and they want to watch the new year celebrations at the lake. i know the place will be flooded with lot of people tonight so we are looking for a quiet place away from crowds but still can get a good view of the crackers at 12. transportation is not a problem as we can drive to a place or take public transport.

any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks in advance

You're going to view the Silvesterzauber, I presume?

Best suggestion is probably to get there and secure a place as early as possible. At least it'll be warm

Depending on the clouds you can watch the fireworks from ETH Terracces, Zurichberg or Uetliberg. If there are low clouds, there will be not much to see, either when you are at the lake it self or at the Zurichberg/Uetliberg.

Will give them a try as last year. I until 2006 enjoyed the fireworks from home
