Re: What do guys want... Valentines Day

well the guys will not be getting anything here in Indonesia

Other than the obvious, are guys even interested in getting something on Valentines Day?

I get my OH special chocolate (sugar addict) and littles gifts when I see something he might like.

Have I been sucked into this Hallmark Holiday? Or should I do something?

Full Disclosure: I've been told I'm getting breakfast in bed.

I don't even remember what I got him last year - even after all of your helpful posts!

It's possible that I just got drunk.

Re: What do guys want... Valentines Day

Thanks Laempefescht for waking this one up too. I never came accross those therads before even when browsing through my "absent" years.
Gosh, I'm having the best laughs, my stomach-muscles ache.

I have never celebrated Valentines day but from now on I shall return to EF every February do just that by reading all the hilarious stories.

Is there gonna be an "after Valentines thread" where you all tell us how it went? Please, please, PLEASE?

I think it would be a nice gesture if the ladies organised themselves to make sure that LiB got a care package every week.

That way he could have Valentines day 52 times a year.

One good thing about Switzerland is that the day doesn't seem to be that popular. Hence I will be spending all of it in an industry workshop with colleagues followed by a 'team-building' dinner

They're selling lovely bouquets of a dozen red roses for 50% off (Fr.7) in the Coop near me.

I bought some for my partner, but as he's in a different country I'll keep them and just send him a photo of them tomorrow . Aren't I romantic!

What a waste of money - you could have taken the picture at Coop

'team-building' dinner" Thank God I am retired and do not have to do that any more.

Worst memory was a team building long weekend which I really did not want to go to as I had other personal plans. Anyway it was a really nice wellness hotel and actually we did build up a good spirit.

So it was a bit of a downer when we got back in the office and were told we had been outsourced to India!
Never did see any of my "team mates" ever again

That would be cheap, and it would be coop in the background.

Besides, Adrian is charging 1CHF to everyone who has asked for a copy of the picture in PM.

A mute button would be more than enough.

Good thinking, at least then they can still cook, clean and do the washing without a whimper.
