Or maybe simply get rid of time altogether!

In winter I get up while it's still dark and get back home when it's dark again. If the clock was shifted forward by one hour I might get home at least occasionally while the sun is still up.

So to me the real question should be why we have winter ("normal") time in the first place. Just use summer time all year.

Now I'm pissed off . I have to catch a flight from ZRH at 10 on Sunday morning, which means getting the train from Fribourg at 6:04. No only is this an ungodly hour at the best of times, I will have an hour less in bed the night before.
Have they already gone forward in the US?

When I have early flights out of Zurich, I usually just reserve one of the private day rooms inside the airport. If it's an insanely early internatinal flight, it won't work as they don't open access for customs clearance until 6:00 am. But for a 10:00 am flight, that wouldn't be a problem. Price for an overnight single is 94 CHF.

And then they go back 60 years on the 29th :msncrazy: (in the UK)

Yeah thumbs up for the hotel option. This sometimes makes sense just because an early flight is significantly cheaper, so you can get a cheaper ticket + the hotel and still come out ahead.

Having to leave at 6:00 even for a 10:00 flight though... I don't envy you.

And what a glorious time it was, 50-60 years ago! :p

The Brits were making great cars, planes, and music!

Now, none of it is great. :msnsick:

Make Great Britain great again should be the slogan! :D

Well at least Hooligan and Heffalump's usual pre-dawn tag team assault to roust me out from under the covers came at a slightly more civilized hour today.

No effect. I live in the " timeless ".

Why don't they do an "initiative" against this time saving thing? 60% of the Swiss are against it.
