Re: NHS question

It is interesting for me to read about hospital stays.
When I had my first baby in London I went to a lovely little maternity hospital and stayed there for 10 days - this was quite normal in the late 70s.
Baby number 2 it was 5 days and number 3 - 3 days in a Kent hospital.

I find it so surprising that some Mothers are out in 6 hours now - fine if that is what you prefer and all is well but I would be really anxious I think and would rather spend at least 24 hrs in hospital.

My daughter was sent home early last year when she gave birth in the UK and due to complications with the epidural was readmitted 3 times - maybe if they had not been so keen to send her home this could have been avoided.
