Most people have both and just shop one more that the other (preference, product selection, offers, location etc.).

Rather than carrying 2 cards, Migros gives you a sticker that you can put on the Coop Supercard.

The other option (if you carry a phone with you) is to load Stocard (app for Iphone, Samsung etc.) and do away with carrying the cards. They then scan from your phone.

I did this, but I also added the stickers for some other shops. The cashiers aren't super happy about it, they have to cover the other stickers...

Re: Migros Cumulus or Coop Supercard? Who's vouchers are better?

I guess I'm a bigger fan of Coop's setup.

I can collect stickers for toys or for special items (right now it's Jamie Oliver knives and whatnot) and also earn points for each purchase. There are often "bonus" items that when purchased give 10x or 20x points, which add up fast. I can use points to purchase minutes on my prepaid mobile, and several times a year I can pay for my whole shop (minus wine) with points.

Migros sends coupons, but we never shop at the DoIt+Garden or use LeShop, so they largely go unused.

But many people use Migros stores more, so it's a personal choice. If you use both equally, the idea of using the points card for one and paying with the credit card for the other sounds like a great way to maximize benefit.

Re: Migros Cumulus or Coop Supercard? Who's vouchers are better?

I have both cards, well not credit cards, just the point collecting ones and also found out during my recent immobilsation at home, that you can pay the home delivery costs from COOP @ home with the Superpoints.

I didn't find anything like that when I scoured the LeShop site.

IMHO, if you shop a lot a Migros you profit more from the Cumuls vouchers they send you every 3 Months, the stuff you could buy from Coop with the Superpoints for their catalogue is often overpriced, unnecessary crap!

Have both. Like Migros better. Good to see money come back (even though conversion rate is silly), the goods are better and the prices are more competitive.

Re: Migros Cumulus or Coop Supercard? Whose vouchers are better?

Slightly off topic:
It seems Coop are not just revamping their banking arm. Their (to me) confusing, complicated and not very useful Supercard points system looks like it gets an overhaul

Revision of the Supercard AGB (valid from 03.07.2017) (German)

Revision of the Supercard AGB (valid from 03.07.2017) (English via Google Translate)
Back on track:

I have Cumulus, Cumulus Mastercard and a Coop Supercard.

Migros: I like the 1% cash back I get via the Cumulus Mastercard, expressed via vouchers that can be redeemed (in paper or via the app).

Coop: Up until now, the Coop Trophy stuff (which operates independently of the Supercard points) is pretty good if they are offering something you might want as IMO they offer good value. But these are not vouchers per se.

The Supercard points system is about as useful as an airlines' miles rewards scheme or Credit Suisse's Bonviva rewards scheme.

But if I understand the changes linked to above, then every 1000 Superpoints will be convertible into CHF 10 at the Kasse (I have confirmed this just now by going online and switching to the Supercard ID and updating my app). So that is some convergence with the Migros system.

Other points of comparison.

You can go to the Migros web site and download spreadsheets of the receipts of all your purchases. These receipts are also available in the Migros app also.

The revamped Coop system offers the function whereby you can disable the printed receipts, and instead receive a PDF via e-mail. I have some privacy concerns there.

Re: Migros Cumulus or Coop Supercard? Who's vouchers are better?

A reminder with Coop (since I think the items they sell in their Super Card catalogue are totally overpriced) is that you can get gift cards (the lowest value is CHF 10.-) at the check out using your Super Points.

For example, if you have 77'000 points you would be able to get CHF 70.- of cards with 7'000 points left on your account. It is not clear if you get one card with the full amount or several cards. You will need to ask.

These cards can be used in any of the Coop Group stores including Fust and Interdiscount.

The number of points you have on your account is printed on the bottom of each receipt.

Re: Migros Cumulus or Coop Supercard? Who's vouchers are better?

I usually convert my superpoints to a gift card digitally (digitale Zahlkarte) and don't even go through their Praemienshop catalogue as items are way overpriced to my liking. The digitale Zahlkarte can be used for checkout with all of the Coop affiliated stores by showing the corresponding barcode.

Refer: https://www.supercard.ch/de/supercar...zahlkarte.html

I think the conversion rate is better than that. Shouldn't you get CHF 770.- if you have 77000 points?

An extra zero slipped in. Should be 7'700 = CHF 70.- of gift cards and 700 points left over.

Conversion rate is better on ricardo/tutti/anibis, people with mortgages from coop are ready to pay more money for it than their nominal worth. 1.10 to 100.

Thought you guys know better.

Double dipping!

Shopping at the half of CH belong to Migros: Show Cumulus and pay with Coop credit card.

At the other Coop half obviously the other way round

Double points.

Great idea!! I usually get stuff from both supermarket, some products are only available the one of those stores. But general speaking I have the impression that Migros is cheaper and the points are valid for the whole sortiment but coop points are not valid for the food section...
How ever copp has a higher quality standard in average.
