Re: What (Swiss) watch do you wear?

Nice Sea Master I love the older vintage watches myself.

Old thread but the most common Swiss Made watch I wear when I do wear a watch is a Luminox 3051 Dive watch. Rubber strap I find more comfortable to wear than others.

Re: What (Swiss) watch do you wear?

Got this watch since 2009 as a daily, and still looks like new.

Because of the leather strap, I'm about to purchase a second one with a metal bracelet for practical reasons (swimming/summer coming up).

It's the GMT version, and apparently a semi-limited edition as I've never seen one of these for sale since I bought it and it raised some eyebrows in the Omega shop when I took it for a service - I guess they were happy to see something else than the usual Sea- or Speedmaster on a young fella in his mid-20's

Re: What (Swiss) watch do you wear?

There is the new Tissot T-Touch Connect model. I would like to have the black coated model but with a titanium bracelet instead of the black plastic strap. What do you think, will it look ok or tacky and distateful?

I have one similar, with the Jungfrau/Mönch/Eiger on it. Now that is tacky and I love it

If only they'd do a version that exactly functions the way the SBB clocks do, with a second hand that pauses on 12 and a minute hand that only moves every minute (rather than continuously), I'd buy it like a shot!

Re: What (Swiss) watch do you wear?

The Mondaine brand somehow doesn't inspire confidence in me. Please consider doing your research on this particular model before paying quite a lot for such a watch.

Instead of making throwaway comments, for other people's benefit why don't you explain why the brand doesn't inspire confidence in you?

47.50mm diameter, looks fine on people with rather larger forearms. On the other hand, titanium looks understated, nice shine but not at all like white gold. So, not tacky.

Well, it's Friday. Drink one for Le Locle =)

Re: What (Swiss) watch do you wear?

I used to quite fancy getting myself a Tissot. And then one evening, walking along the inlet river beside Lake Geneva, I was admiring the reflection of the lights in the water from the neon building signs. It was a calm evening, so I was getting the mirror image of each sign perfectly. Suddenly TISSOT didn't seem so attractive....

The one sold with the titanium bracelet has just the bezel in black. I wonder how such a bracelet would look like on the all-black case (including the lugs), normally sold with a black plastic strap.

Just ask them to show it to you? I‘m sure they‘ll do that.
