Are there any electronics shops in schaffausen to buy a laptop with installements?

Aside from Interdiscount and Fust? I checked mediamarkt but they are in winthertur.

Why Schaffhausen if you live in Lausanne?

Just buy it with a credit card. Real credit cards (which are not linked to your bank account balance) allow repayment in installments.

digitec.ch offer payment in installments, so long as you have good credit.

I have permit F. But my aunt lives in schaffausen and she has nationality already and a stable job. So she is buying it for me. I realize it would be easier to have her buy it and pay her monthly after, but that is too much to ask of her.

I don't/can't have credit cards. At least not the one where you can buy anything without putting money in it first.

digitec is an online-company .... if they give you the conditions you want, it really doesn't matter where you live.

Re: Are there any electronics shops in schaffausen to buy a laptop with installements

If no bank would loan money to you, why do you think shops would? It's just too much risk for them if you're on F.

Just let your aunt buy it for you. Or earn the money, and/or buy second hand - electronics depreciates very fast, faster then cars, buying new is just burning money when you're on budget. There's enough pretty decent laptops you can have for under 100 Fr if buying used! And 200 Fr or so will buy top of the line models from 5-10 years ago. There's plenty of ways to earn a quick 100 for a guy in need.

Where did you buy it?
If it is only 2 days old you may be able to return it.
If not, there's a for sale section on this forum.

But I gotta say - After waiting a yr, enquiring as to the credit possibilities with a F Permit, posting questions in here, asking your aunt to help you and having an expertise in computers (programmer) you still manage to buy the wrong laptop....?

Anyway, good luck fixing your situation

Story of my life. I actually had researched so much and wanted to buy dell xps13/15. But I am still speachless. This happends to me more often than I am willing to admit. About returning it, I don't think it is possible, as I have unpacked it, and we didn't buy it with cash, but with payment arrangements, I will pay something like 107.00 chf for one year...

thanks I will try the sale section in this forum, let me just head back home and take some pictures.

Not possible as you don't have enough posts to access the Marketplace.

Thank goodness for that.... I was beginning to think I was going blind and simply couldn't see a post or two.
Next time use the quote function, I think the post you've replied to is still visible then.

Yeah, use the quote function. Why did it get deleted, and why was the laptop the wrong one?

The message was this
Quote:
EF, I am sorry, but I made a terrible mistake.

After waiting over 1 year to buy my dream laptop (for programming) I ended up buying a surface pro 4 with 4gb ram, and core m3 processor. Only those who are programmers can feel how much of a tragedy this is, I only realized the issue when I tried to run a linux inside a virtualbox. I can't even explain the chain of events that led me to buy it.

Anyway, I have an internship on the 19 Dec, and I need to do whatever I can to sell this 2-days old notebook worth 1138 with 24 months, cut my loses and buy another one.

So, if anyone is interested to buy it, I will sell it way cheaper, as I need to be able to buy another one and move one. Or if anyone can recommed where to sell it, then that would be good. I have already signed up to ricardo and they are sending me the activation code by post.

I need help people, and thank you so much for the past helps.

I can very well imagine one chain of events that could have led to it.

You had no money and nobody would loan to you, but now you can get maybe 500 out of thin air by selling something that probably doesn't even legally belong to you! If you pay with installements, usually the shop reserves ownership on the goods until they are fully paid.

Correct, even if you sell it they will still come to you for the instalments until it is fully paid

You shouldn't sell it without talking to the shop first, it's likely legally shop's property and you'd violate some laws by reselling it without their consent.

Isn't there usually a "cooling off" period attached to these types of credits?

In any case, saying that you "don't think its possible" isn't really enough here. Go and find out for sure what you can and cant do. Selling it should be your last option.
Acting before considering all options/requirements seems to be what caused the mess, acting that way again is unlikely to solve it.
Just my 2c...

Re: Are there any electronics shops in schaffausen to buy a laptop with installements

Yeah I understand my mistakes. I am obviously going to pay of the debt. But since I won't be using this laptop it is better to sale it now and get the most out of it. I see no other way out. I could go to manor and try to return it, I still have the receipt and guaratee letter, but it was brought by my aunts name and I just can't ask her to return it. It is hard to explain but I just can't.

Also I didn't know there was a rule about not selling such item brought by contract.

Anyway, I will post it on recardo and see if someone buys it. The main problem is not the fact the laptop is weak for programming, rendering ... but the fact that I have an internship on 19 dec, and I can't go there without a laptop

Simple. you do not own the laptop yet as it hasn´t been paid off. Check the contract whether you are legally allowed to sell it on?
