Re: So what are you doing for New Year's Eve?

Just a word of caution. Don't drink and drive...call a cab, a friend if you have any or sober up until you're fit to drive.

Edit: Or contact these guys: http://www.nezrouge.ch

The original Swedish version (and title) is much better.

"Män Som Hatar Kvinnor" (Men Who Hate Women).
They were the original Swedish films with Michael Nyqvist and Noomi Rapace. I've had the box set for a few years but they're in the UK. Agreed that the English version is rubbish by comparison.

Rather a sad question

I recorded Dr Who but there is a voice over (I assume for people who are visually challenged!) that gives a description of what is happening! Did I select this? Or is it configurable?
Whatever it is damn annoying!
Audio description for the visually impaired. You might be able to turn it off from the sub-titles menu.

If it's UPC, press 'i' for information, you'll then see the Soundtrack bar, it should say 'NAR', press the go right or left button to change it to English Dolby Digital.
At least that's how it works on mine.

We were supposed to go downtown and watch the fireworks. At the end we stayed at home because we were too lazy to move

Re: So what are you doing for New Year's Eve?

Well, I wrote my opening post, then didn't get a chance to get back online until now!! We ended up taking them out for a meal in Zürich, then our guest said he'd get the drinks in at the pub......not realising that 11 pints pints of guinness would cost what it did !! after that chilled in front of the tv and got through quite a lot of prosecco and watched the fireworks from the balcony at midnight. Was a nice night. Hope everyone else enjoyed theirs and good wishes to you all for a happy and healthy 2017. Including you DB (baa humbug )
