Gold coins - hurrah!

So I found myself needing an afternoon energy burst, but no appetite for fruit, cakes, red bull or coffee.

I dug into my Santa stocking (yes, still hanging happily full) and grabbed a handful of those gold foil wrapped chocolate coins.

To my surprise and delight, they're "stamped" as 2 francs. It had never occurred to me before that these chocolates were customised by country currency.

I don't have any such products from the UK or Australia or US or France to hand (although I know when I was living there these coins were readily available as part of the Christmas goodies) - can anyone verify if they have coins with different currencies stamped on please?

Of course the Francs could be French Francs, in which case the chocolates you were eating predated the introduction of the Euro (1999).

The other variant is in "silver" and stamped as 5 CHF.

They were probably printed before the Brexit-vote ..... an other subtle hint by the reaminers.

addition: Pleas don't eat this if you come accross it:
