It's hemp that contains less than 1% of THC, an at the same time a high content of CBD. Haven't tried it myself, but CBD doesn't act in the same way on the cannabinoid receptor in the brain, which is responsible for the effects some people enjoy while consuming cannabis for recreational purposes.

Re: Hanf legal

Cool. You buy it in pots? That means the whole male/female splitting work is up to you?
<< Its sale is already permitted in Zurich and Bern>> where?

1% would be rather weak, according to this.
But hey, we're not in the hippy-shape we used to be

Weed with more CBD (and less THC) affects the body more than the brain so its for people (like me) who have achey legs but don't want the mind fa(u)ck..

Re: Hanf legal

Okay, I googled a bit. Very interesting.
Too bad, this is too late for my aunt - this stuff is good if you suffer from parkinson.

But now back to the ol' hippies. If it doesn't get me stoned, why would I want to smoke it?
It' obviously okay to drive when smoking it, right?
Anybody know more?

Nope, I read recently that more than one spliff could endanger the driving license. Maybe it's time for you to Google a bit more?

I see the big problem is you don't really know how strong the product is. At least with alcohol you can calculate how much drink your legal limit is, as the strength is written on the bottle.

You do know we're talking about the new stuff here? The legal stuff? The stuff that doesn't get you stoned, which is why I asked one of the questions above here?

I don't need to google about spliffs, thank you, your lectures come decades too late, mate.

But you might be interested to read here and here (sold out already, LOL).
And Zurich (August 2016) and - as to be expected Bern (January 2017) quite a bit slower.
So I did the googling to the subject of the thread for you, that's me

Re: Hanf legal

Tried smoking it. Not much effect. Tried drinking it as a tea. Didn't notice much difference. The oil however worked wonders.

Took some before going to bed to relieve my back pain and aching joints and to see if I could get a decent night's sleep for a change. Within minutes I felt totally relaxed and peaceful - the pain receded and I went to bed and had a wonderful night's sleep, best in ages. Woke feeling refreshed, almost pain free and ready to start the day in a positive mood.

You asked if you can drive after using the new milder stuff.

I wrote that I read recently that more than one smoke can endanger the license (because it isn't entirely harmless, and using too much WILL bring you over the legal limit) When I see the article I'll publish the link here.

The customer is confronted with the same problems as with alcohol: the consumed legal limit consumed before driving will depend on the THC strength and the body weight of the consumer, = the amount of blood.

It is legal to sell and consume alcohol, even with 150 mg alcohol per liter blood, most people would not be arrested for drunken behaviour, but with more than 50 mg the consumer should not drive a vehicle.

It is obvious, but you did flippantly ask if it is safe to drive after using the new low level CBD. The answer is "it depends" - only if there is less than 1.5 microgram of THC in one liter of blood.

https://www.hanflegal.ch/wiki/thc_recht/autofahren

The article goes on to warn that the THC remains in the body for a long time, and is not depleted as fast as alcohol. So as the THC can build up in the body, the consumer should not smoke and drive.

Three values are determined in the blood:
THC: active substance, legally relevant. Drug driving is valid as from 1.5 μg / l.
OH-THC: active substance, not relevant in law.
THC-COOH: degradation product, legally indirectly relevant, since more than 40 μg / l is considered as a reference to a possible drug addiction.

Saw my first branch of Kiosk advertising this in the window. It's a corner shop on Niederhoffstrasse, Zürich.

The truth is that not everybody wants to necessarily get high on it.

I know a couple of people that either smoke the real stuff only very occasionally, or have given up, but are buying this low content legal stuff because they simply like the taste and smell of cannabis.

I might pick some up myself, as I do like the taste and smell, but as I've gotten older I've become less enthusiastic about the effect, especially given that in recent years the potency of the "real stuff" has gone through the roof.
