I decided to go s bit more vibrant with the border. I only had the cerise or off white in sufficient quantity to go all round so I though I'd give it a try.

What do you all think? I could change it for a more muted colour if you don't like it.
If it's OK I'll press it even I have the ironing board out and Wednesday and then as soon as Slammer provides me with an address I'll post it off.f
I think it looks beautiful, and you're a magician to stitch all that together.

I'll pitch in for postage by picking up the tab for your coffee next time we get together.

That's perfect BM, off-white would have been a little wishy-washy.

Really, do. It's a lot of fun. Sometimes it's even more fun than dogs. I know, I know, blasphemy...

There are a lot of beginner how to on the Youtube. I really would recommend Happyberry and Persia Lou for crochet. When it comes to knitting, you're on your own. It makes no sense to me and the patterns make me lightheaded.

Or, if you have an afternoon with the dogs, they can sit in the sun or gloom and you can knit/crochet.

The blanket is lovely! The border is fab!

In the end I couldn't contribute.

The result is absolutely precious, made with love.
A lovely baby, a lovely community.

The cerise stitch is really nice, it sets off the colors.

You did an excellent job Belgian mum, it was interesting to see what will come out of all the pieces, each reflecting an individual style. Lovely.
This is one of those things your parents will want to keep for you for ever, I wish slammer's grandchild all the best. Already so much love!

Re: Slammer's Pokemon Blankie - EF's 1st Ever Community Knit/Crochet Project

I posted the blanket off to Germany on Thursday afternoon so it should arrive early next week.

A big thank you to everyone who participated in this project by crocheting or knitting squares,it has been amazing.
Thank you also to Roegner who despite being limited in her knitting/crochet skills made her contribution by paying the cost of the postage.

Excellent job putting the blanket together, looks great! I'm glad it was a good idea and so many people chipped in, in various ways! Bravo! The sewing looks awesome, too! The baby will be thrilled and I hope slammer, too.

I think we should start a tradition! I know no. 2 and no. 3 are on their ways, it is exciting.

And I bought yarn and the stick thingy to get crocheting! So hopefully, I'll get one or two squares for MN-DB's blanket! But first thing first, must learn how to do it; can't wait J.Marple for teaching me a trick or two!
