Community knit project #3 - Blankie for DB and MN

Is this the colour sheme now for MN and DB's Pokemon blankie?

I am asking, because my friend fetches me on friday with the car to go to physio and then I could go easier to a shop to get a skein or two of wool..

I don't think we actually have a colour scheme as such but I think the mix and match scheme of the slammer blanket works really well so I think those colours would be great.

I like them too. A jewel coloured baby blanket is hard to find and they look great.

Okeedokee, I'll get pink-ish or purpley, green and yellow wool and click clacking away with my needles for a few 10x10cm squares

Re: Slammer's Pokemon Blankie - EF's 1st Ever Community Knit/Crochet Project

Awfully sorry everyone who already asked about colors (some of you over a week ago). My brain went "color scheme? what's a color scheme? do we need a color scheme?" and got all froze up.

Belgianmum's got it. No color scheme as such. The nursery is mostly white + bare wood, so some bright colors would probably liven it up a bit. Pink and blue both completely fair game.

Sorry, still not much help am I?

Same here, Mathnut. Bright colours are always fun to work with.

We didn't mean to freeze your brain. Apologies!

Re: Community knit project #2 - Blankie for DB and MN

FYI, I've split this into a separate thread, so we can go nuts speculating about the next arrival and showing off squares, etc. without taking away from Slammer's Pokemon thread.

MN and DB - do we have a nickname for the upcoming arrival? Seems weird to call your little one Pokemon as well, but maybe that's just me.

Edit - and sorry to give you brain freeze.

Oh excellent. I have tons of bright colors, baby weight cotton - for a project I never quite finished but this will be excellent.

I can make some but the big question is, who is going to put them together? My skills are not quite there, although my will would be...

But then you'd have to post the blanket to CH. Not heavy, probably, but bulky...

Re: Community knit project #2 - Blankie for DB and MN

I don't mind putting it together as long as it's not before the end of may. I'm quite enjoying doing this one ( about half done so far)

I probably won't be able to knit/crochet much due to having an immobilized arm for a month after my shoulder surgery so I'd be happy to contribute by doing the seeing.

I know, but if it came to it it would be sorted. Plus OH does travel to CH on occasion so if push came to shove he could fly it over and post it from Basel if the timings worked. He'd be flummoxed but would do it.

Are you sure?

I hope your surgery goes well and your recovery is speedy. If you aren't Curly Wurly fan, what do you (or your boys) like?

Well, for MathNut, I think f(x) would be appropriate. How about "petit déjeuner" for DB?

Can't you people get your own forum?

Well, isn't this project #3?
1. Slammer's Pokemon?
2. Music_Chicks thing?
3. ..and now this?

How about you guys come together for a much nobler cause..like "Send LiB on a exotic cruise" or "buy LiB Lunch"?

Would that be a knitted or a crocheted lunch? I'm sure I have a pattern for a burger somewhere...
