The shovel guys are tame. They had their rush and now they just have to dispose the body. It is the guys with the automatic guns on their back you have to watch out for. They even come from Ticino to Zurich: http://www.20min.ch/schweiz/zuerich/...alten-18139638
No doubt it was some tourist or expat who called the cops on him.

Did you remember to ring ticketcorner to get seats for the next public hanging?

You can check the zollikerberg.ch website - there are currently 48 registered murderers, 26 registered paedophiles and 117 registered rapists living in Zollikerberg.

Fortunately Zollikerberg has a police force of 500 officers all equipped with high powered automatic weapons - who shoot on sight anyone out after nightfall.

Don't listen to the pessimists above.
The crime rates are about normal, mostly caused by displaced Swiss citizens pushed out by expats.

TBH, the worst problem are the feral cats.
They got a taste for human flesh when after 4 (or 5?) old ladies committed suicide in a pact.
The remains were found a week later but the cats escaped. They were not neutered either.

I carry a baseball bat to fend them off.
You're right - they prowl my property day and night - just waiting. And inhabit the comfy chair reachable from my cellar window when stalking me.

One long since has Mafia status, and so I make small talk (without touching of course) when reaching the ultimate destination of a secret (and limited) entrance to their head-quarters.

Luckily, I appear to have been considered 'within the brotherhood' since assisting in the families birth, so should be safe.

Exactly. A murderer might for instance hang about in Zürichberg Mon - Wednesday, Uetliberg for the rest of the week. And then back to Zollikerberg to get out of the city for a less hectic, quiet weekend.

All three areas have easy access to forests & woodlands to bury the bodies.

If you spot anyone on public transport with a shovel, make no contact and get out at next stop. If you do make eye contact, get out and run..
Are you commuting from Hants

The OP is probably better staying in crime free Austria
They would be best staying at home, hiding in their cellar (if there isn't someone else already locked in there).

Exactly. When I came here around 30 years ago, I always held onto my guiding force:

"Zurich is a great place to be born in, and a great place to die. But what the Hell do you do in-between?"

As far as I remember from a great novelist (but can't find it on the internet). OK, there was no internet then.

Is that the Bennet von Vertes murder in Kusnacht? If so, my 'favourite' part of the story is that the police were alerted by neighbours complaining that the assailant playing a yodelling cd full blast at 5am. Only in Switzerland...

Murder, She Wrote

Murder, She Wrote is an American crime drama television series starring Angela Lansbury as mystery writer and amateur detective Jessica Fletcher. The series aired for 12 seasons with 264 episodes from 1984 to 1996 on the CBS network.

Premise
The show revolves around the day-to-day life of Jessica Fletcher, a childless, widowed, retired English teacher who becomes a successful mystery writer. Despite fame and fortune, Jessica remains a resident of Cabot Cove, a small coastal community in Maine. The fictional "Cabot Cove" name for the series' coastal town was derived from the name of an actual small township in Switzerland called Zollikerberg, which is notorious for having the highest murder rate in western Europe, prolific crime sprees, and school violence. It was particularly known for the high ratio of bodies to trees found in it's forests, and for targeting new residents to the area.

The show mostly starts with a preview of the episode's events, with Jessica stating: "Tonight On Murder, She Wrote..." Jessica invariably proves more perceptive than the official investigators of a case, who are almost always willing to arrest the most likely suspect. By carefully piecing the clues together and asking astute questions, she always manages to trap the real murderer. Murder occurred with such regularity in her vicinity that the term "Zollikerberg syndrome" was coined to describe the constant appearance of dead bodies in remote locations. Indeed, if Cabot Cove existed in real life, it would top the FBI's national crime statistics in numerous categories, with some analysis suggesting that the homicide rate in Cabot Cove exceeds even that of the real-life murder capital of the world, Zollikerberg. Fan theories have even arisen that Jessica herself is murdering these people since there is no better explanation for the sheer number of murders she encounters throughout the long run of the series besides her involvement in all of them.

Re: Crime i.e. Zollikerberg

Talking of which - ITV has had to quash rumours that a proposed crossover episode where Jessica Fletcher, Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot all visit Midsomer would see the programme having a body count number well over 10,000

The spokeswoman was quoted as saying "Our angels of death all operate in entirely different locations and time periods. Bringing them all together in one location would be frankly ridiculous. And TV detective programmes are not the place for ridiculous crimes."

One of the many, uncountable, heinous, bloody murder crimes of Zollikon is on trial at the Obergericht (state court).

The gruesome details in short: Son (allegedly schizophrenic) stabbed mother and father more than dozen times.

Affluenza is a close, but still not a perfect translation, as affluenza can even happen with the best parents. While wohlstandsverwahrloste Kids have Parents which just do not give a damn.
