Washington Post on eating dogs in CH

From Taiwan is banning eating cats and dogs, but many of its neighbors haven’t:
Quote:
Canine meat, however, is still widely consumed in many Asian countries ... The practice also exists in parts of Africa and remote areas of Switzerland.
I vaguely recall a few posts over the years hinting at that. A Google search turned up far more threads than I expected.

NEVER at Easter!

Easter is the time to eat baby animals such as goats, lambs and pigs!

You do NOT make pastrami from dog meat!

You make mostbröckli!

(and then serve that as a starter)

Judging by his location, the OP is probably a tad more familiar with that term.

However, dear Tom, the possibilities are endless...

Yes, but it's WRONG!

Pastrami is cooked, mostbröckli is raw!

We do eat bunnies, made of a compound mainly consisting of roasted rotten seeds and a secretion of mammary glands. Rumor has it that some of them bunnies may have been Santa Clauses in a former life.

Must have got confused with Swaziland. It's well known they only eat cats here.
