COOP day, this Saturday

This Saturday June 17, 2017 you can use your COOP points in the store, with some exceptions. Info here:

If you have a Supercard and the passebene app, you can create a "digital Zahlkarte" pretty much any time you want, and use it at check out.

That's really cool, I've used it quite often when I have enough points to convert into a decent amount of cash.

I hate shopping on Saturdays.
Actually, I just hate shopping. But specially on Saturdays.

By the way, they offer this randomly too.

I don't have that, but I do have the Supercard app and that allows the same thing. Over my 7 years here I've managed to accumulate a whopping 5000 points! Just changed that to a Fr.50 voucher. That's almost Fr.8 per year. It makes shopping in Coop so much cheaper.

In my experience their 'random' offer of paying for all your shopping using supercard points always falls on a Saturday.

With Migros, I get anywhere from 15 chf to 70 chf in vouchers bi-monthly. The vouchers can be used as cash in the store or restaurant. The total is dependent on some sort of point accumulation from all of their affiliated stores and petrol stations. Once, I got over 150 chf, but that was in a hefty shopping period where I bought a tent, stand-up paddleboards etc.

Re: COOP day, this Saturday

What with Coop's various superpoint bons - 5x, 10x, 20x - I usually manage savings of CHF 500-1000 per year.

All on stuff I'd buy anyway.

As well you can use the Super Points to buy gift cards (to be used in Coop or any of the Group stores) at any time.

The cards are available at the checkout.

I rather go to LIDL and pay less for my stuff. But that's just me.

Re: COOP day, this Saturday

At Coop City, I always register my Superpoints.

Haven't had to pay for toiletries or cleaning products since years (but am a fussy consumer in-case you're wondering).

I just focus my shopping habits around the Coop, accumulate the points based on the groceries and other purchases, and the next shopping trip for these things is paid for (for good market brands).

Always a good feeling to walk away with a paid shopping that didn't cost a penny. Now there's a new Coop app. that you can use to pay as well, which automatically deducts any saved discount points.

Haven't tried it, but daughter says that combined with Twint it's fantastic!

I would as well, if they had everything I needed. I kind of hate having to do two separate shopping trips to make one meal. I just want some damn celery!

Lidl is very often not just "around the corner" whereas a Coop or Migros is almost always around the corner. (i think i pass about 10 of those before reaching the nearest-by Lidl), i am willing to pay a bit more since it's so easy to just go around the corner.

And OP, do keep an eye out on the coupons when shopping at Coop, we got over 10K point in just a year, and a lot with special thanks to the coupons.

I also once a week go to supercard.ch and just click every savings offer they have, gives things like cinema tickets, discounts, extra superpoints etc..

And if you want to save for the minions the app is also nice, i save all those stickers for whatever they have digitally and can use them through the app in the store, but they also give them on paper to me in the store, so actually it's double stickers for all (often no clue what to do with them tho)

When you are not collecting stickers for yourself, ask the person next in line if he/she would like them. Many will be grateful.

Or offer them here on EF.

FYI, if you aren't collecting for the 'stuff', the Trophy stickers are also good for miles on Swiss. 1 card=2000 miles, max 25 cards.
