How is it like living in Lenzburg?

Hello community!

With my wife and 16 months son we are looking into an apartment in Lenzburg with garden and near the train station.

I wanted to check with other people that might live in the area if they like it and what they think about it.

I am also looking for good kindergarten and school for my kid.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts

Well, Lenzburg seems like a suburb of zurich, most people travel to/from zurich to work or change at lenzburg to suburbian Trains from long distance trains.
Lot of traffic on the motorway as well.

Renewing the thread

We really like to live in Lenzburg, in the Widmi area - close to the city center, close to the castle, close to the woods, lot of green around, no-traffic area, and you can be on the highway in few minutes. The old town is small but compact, the castle is magnificent (I recommend to became "friend of Lenzburg" to have unlimited access for a season).
On the other hand, there are parts of the town I would not prefer to live (behind Coop or Lenzopark, or the wave house near highway exit).
The taxes are a bit highish, however, there's been a lot going on for the money (at least it used to, before corona) - kauklierfest, lenzburgiade, and bunch of aactions on the castle, ...
On the other side, the train station is a bit far, so is the school. Also, since it is a small town, the range of services or medical care is limited. E.g. for child dentist we use to go to Muri, for pediatrist to Aarau. If you drive it's not an issue.
For families, the town is great, for young singles looking for fun probably not so much.
