ohhh, good idea....BelgianMum has taken on all the sewing....

....I got this in my email the other day.

https://spark.adobe.com/page/LNHI8ca...m_source=rowan

it's rather, um, cheerful Which might suit our style. Or I have a stash of Felted Tweed that I don't know what to do with....happy to donate to the cause (have to shrink our clutter now I'm going to be a student again!)
I rather like that blanket (although I would be tempted to change a few of the colours), I really must dust off my dusty crochet skills at some point and have a go at a few squares!

Happy to take the felted tweed off your hands if you're de-stashing... just let me know how much you'd like for it.

I like how you try to be coy about it

Edit: why can't I quote the picture too? My message doesn't make much sense without it

Don't want to give too much away just in case Patsy pops in for a look but I know how others like to see the work in progress.

We don't seem to be able to quote photos anymore for some reason.

Re: EF community knit/crochet project #5- snuggle blanket.

The email subscription for this thread is not working very well. I almost missed out on the news of BM's blankie.

Greens and autumn colours. I might have to go wool shopping. Anyone know some good UK wbesites that sell wool? I'm stuggling with getting out at present.

Here's the Felted Tweed I have....more than enough for the blanket, but in more muted colours. I got it for a Fairisle blanket project....but finished the first blanket and realised I'd never use a second one....so it's been sitting sulking

Clearly destined to become mine, very much my kind of colours!

Re: EF community knit/crochet project #5- snuggle blanket.

I'm trying to arrange to visit Patsycat for a coffee....it can come on the train to Geneva and be handed over if that suits. Or PM me your address and it can hop in the post!

If you feel you want to do something in exchange, please make a donation to a charity of your choosing (I'd prefer a cancer research type one, but whatever you feel appropriate).

Oooh if the two of you don't mind a gatecrasher and the date works for me could I join you?
It's been ages since I was down in the big smoke.

Grrr, halfway through typing a reply and the stupid forum maintenance thingy decided to go off-line for several minutes!

That would be really kind of you, and giving a donation to a cancer charity works for me; here specifically or would Cancer Research in the UK be okay?
Oh, and can I cheekily ask if there's any chance of getting my paws on a copy of the Twisted Sister pattern? Rather like that....

Now that OH is back and at my beck and call, pretty much any time works for me, so we can certainly do the hand-over at a coffee date with Patsy whenever you manage to arrange one. If BM wants to join in it'll be twice the fun!

I'm sleep deprived and loopy, but I seem to recall that you can only quote photos if they're hosted off-site - i.e. you embed them here using the [img] HTML brackets. When you upload from your computer they are hosted here and show as attachments instead of in with the text.

If you quote this, the unicorn will show up but not the fasnakitty. I think.

Oh and back to the topic at hand, I am loving the photos of stacked squares. They're a little peek for patsy but not too much. And will BM be sewing up her own blankie then?

Re: EF community knit/crochet project #5- snuggle blanket.

Do we need some new threads for upcoming projects? Seems a shame to keep all of the discussion on the other place and deprive the good citizens of EF of the pleasure of following our progress?

It is becoming a bit of an obsession isn't it?
But I'm loving it.
