Re: EF community knit/crochet project #5- snuggle blanket.

So for the benefit of Miostar and the other voyeurs here are a few pics of the contributions received yesterday including the infamous Scottish lion.

Plus a couple of extras, a nice pair of socks to keep my tootsies warm in winter and a couple of curly wurly for the boy.

The socks are really cute!

And I'm a great fan of the lion

As promised, here's a little sneak peek of the cross stitch. Sorry it's blurry, or maybe not too sorry.

Re: EF community knit/crochet project #5- snuggle blanket.

Do you still need more squares? I've been travelling and I have a few to add to the collection - or will we leave the extra ones for project #6 and #7 ?

Re: EF community knit/crochet project #5- snuggle blanket.

Another bumper haul in the post today.
Thank you neddy, Hannah's auntie and I think VenusC (three beautifully knitted squares in a white envelope).

Thanks to neddy I will have warm mitts as well as warm tootsies as I go about my work and with the weather today I might actually need them.

Swisspea:

Any surplus squares will either be used on #6 or #7 or in a little extra project linked to this one.
I will make sure that I include a minimum of one square from everyone who has contributed to this project so if you want to send them I will include some here and put the others to good use.

The three in a white envelope - that would be me. Although i have just seen other patterns, how do you do those??? Unbelievable!!!
I can't follow patterns, wired differently in the head: i knit left to right, then right to left, like a machine, so any patterns go to pits with this method.

They are lovely. I'm amazed you can do such lovely things without a pattern. The little man is very clever.

I like to keep a pair of gloves in each of my coat pockets so can certainly accommodate more than one pair.

Over my sulk now.... picked up the needles again around 5am (don't ask), and have nearly finished the second mitt.

Will try to post them on Monday.
Then look for the energy to think about project #6!

Re: EF community knit/crochet project #5- snuggle blanket.

I posted the cross-stitch to Belgianmum this morning. I think when it arrives she will finally have all the bits to start putting this lovely project together.

Sorry, no preview since Patsy peeks in on the thread. I'll post a close-up after the blankie is in Patsy's hands.

Great job, everyone. The squares I've seen are amazing!
