Re: Anyone based in Zurich shoot film?

I shoot film and have a permanent darkroom at home, but I live in Zug. I recently heard from this forum member who shoots with film.

FYI - there is an amazing store in Zurich (Wiedikon) where the legendary Foto Ernst used to be, Ars-Imago; you can get anything there from checmicals, papers, film, developing services, cameras etc.

Re: Anyone based in Zurich shoot film?

Hey Traubert,
I did some shooting back in London. Quite enjoyed it, but it was a bit £££; i wasnt earning much at the time though. Got into it because i met and became very good friends with a guy from the leica store there. He was real into it and i used to go shooting with him.

Considering getting me another camera and starting again. This place is so picturesque lol its almost a shame not to...

What do you shoot Traubert? 35mm? Colour/B&W?

Re: Anyone based in Zurich shoot film?

I mostly use medium format and have a collection of Mamiya's (RZ67, 2 X 7ii), Hasselblad 500, Yashicas.

The only 35mm I have is a Leica M7.

Since I do my own printing, I pretty much shoot BW exclusively. I do however use the M7 for colour snaps, the films for which get sent off to Ars-Imago for developing and printing. The films get sent off to a nice Italian old boy who still prints them in analog. It's cheap too. I do sometimes do colour and since I have tons of Velvia I do the off bit of slide shooting.

You can check out some of my efforts here.

Re: Anyone based in Zurich shoot film?

Oh, MF? Never tried it. Just 35 for me. I did shoot one of those 16mm film spy cameras when i was younger, it belonged to an uncle of mine.

I was thinking about getting an old MP and a 35 cron from a friend in London, he wanted to sell his, might take him up o it.

Ill check out the link and take a look at your work
