True. In some areas green bins are either optional or non-existent, which is a shame. People with gardens can have their own compost heap. But many live in flats and don't have a garden.

If the green bin is emptied into the same truck as the general refuse at the same time, then to this is not recycling and seems pointless as it will all go to the same place for incineration.
