can I use the same key in other pc ? I can't use my old pc so I would like to know if I have to buy another key for the new pc.
Thanks again !
I can't speak for Swiss law, but I believe here in the US that's a license violation. Business licenses used to have the option of machine CALs or user CALs, so in other words you license the machine or the user (for more $$$). Most businesses here opt for the latter because end user corporate PCs are frequently leased. I do not believe user CALs were ever available to the general public, the closest thing to it would be to buy the cheapest MSDN subscription because those are per user and should give you access to all MSFT products.

Back in the old 2000/XP days we had codes which would unlock any machine any time but MSFT has gotten really uppity in the past two years about volume lics (part of their whole fascist "cloud" model). I also believe Vista/7 has the technology to take a machine signature so if the lic code moves from one platform to another it may detect it (XP/2000 had something called the HAL which would blue screen if you moved the hard drive around PC to PC, but it was hackable). I think worst case realistically is they block you from Windows Update, I doubt they show up at your door or sue you in court. So you could try it or buy a end user lic from Ebay for a few bucks on the new machine (or fix old machine and reformat with its code).

I use a 2016 m7 MacBook at work sometimes.

I'm a user. Just not an owner.
I also listen to what co-workers say.

OP mentioned she didn't want an Apple laptop (and for 1000 CHF, it doesn't make sense anyway).

It is convenient to have a laptop. But when I'm sitting at my desk (which is the majority of the time), I prefer my desktop.
My commute is short (20m bus) or by bike, so there's no way I can do work on the way to work.

I can get the basics (email, news) on my phone.

If I'm on holiday, I'm offline otherwise.

As for non-Apple laptops: the touchpad on the HP laptop we have in one of our board-rooms drives me crazy. That's probably the reason why most non-Apple laptop users carry around mice ...

Digitec lists the following notebooks under the "Business" category and available
at their show-room.

https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product...306&tagIds=614

If you remove the Apple and Microsoft devices and all the other crap, that leaves you with three choices:

Lenovo E570, HP ProBook G450, Dell Vostro 5568.

If OP really is around Vevey, she can travel to Geneva and try them all out in their showroom there, see if she likes the keyboard and the trackpad and then choose according to budget as well as checking out various reviews of these devices.
So you came into a thread specifically about laptops to tell us how much ch you personally don't need a laptop, and what is more give us the solid impression that you don't have the capacity to understand why others may find them useful outside of business use?

Thanks for the info, but that doesn't really tell us much except that you may not be overly smart.

just one doubt I have ... as my old laptop broke ( the windows system failed ) and I had office there... can I use the same key in other pc ? I can't use my old pc so I would like to know if I have to buy another key for the new pc.
Thanks again !
Can you link us to the specific model you got (including price), just out of interest? Would be helpful for other people to know.

Well that's why I was wondering but I will try to use the old key and if does not work , will buy a new one ...
