| | Funny names of towns and villages
I cannot use Wankdorf because:
1. It's in canton Bern and not Geneva
2. Too well known
But what names of towns or villages in your canton make you smile or ponder? For me, the villages of Gy and Jussy (pronounced by all in our family as "Gee" and "Juicy") are amusing enough, but of course it does not beat the example at the top. So Bern; 1 Punkt - Genève: 0 point |

Not ZH canton but close enough. Why are there no Rappers called Wil-Jona? It's crying out to be used musically.
Going to stray over the border into Austria for my other picks, back to days when I used to go hiking in the Tyrol and stay in Ellmau. On one side is Going, but to the West are Mutters and Natters. | This user would like to thank Blueangel for this useful post: | |

Well, there's Misery and not too far away is Missy. Font is another one - I assume it's named for the baptismal and not for the typewriter.
In England the classics: Upper Dicker, Lower Dicker and The Dicker.

One of my favourite names is Sins, in AG.
A pastor once quipped that he'd like to found a new church there, and call it, for example: "The First Baptist Church of Sins".

Gland VD.
Bubikon.
Kloten (EdwinNL willl explain that one)
Really and properly the most funny is Altendorf. Why? Man muss den Zug vor Lachen verlassen. (Coming from Chur it is Siebnen, where you will have to leave the train because you are laughing)

As well as Wankdorf and Cunter (already in thread), my "rude words" tour includes Schattdorf and Buttizholz.
As well as Rapperswil (already in thread), my "urban music" tour includes Bad Ragaz.

I made this list as I came across them through my travels:
Toss
Misery
Wankdorf
Schatzalp
Wangen
Les arses
Schiterberg
Also bonus points for the following busses:
Extra Fahrt
Special Bus
In Bristol, "Bell End" near the city centre always made me laugh.

Frauenfeld is indeed a weird name. Somehow I always think of a field full of dead women - yes very morbid
I think there's an Arschwald somewhere too |

Paradies (Paradise) is a Bus Stop in an industrial Area in Baar.
The day I saw it, was "Rapture day", so I immediately snapped a Photo and posted on Facebook, I had arrived already
