Apologies. I didn't see the link (actually still don't). I saw references to the blanket and photos of it, and thought newbies might wonder what we were talking about.

Re: Patsycat. RIP

Just seen this sad news.

I met her once over six years ago on my one and only trip to Geneva. She was one of several members who arranged to meet me and show me around the city. It was a great afternoon/evening and I was so happy that complete strangers took the time to make my day enjoyable.

I will remember her as a friendly bubbly person. Her picture that I have will make those memories even more special

I never had the pleasure of meeting her, but greatly enjoyed her sense of humor and witty posts on EF.

Bon voyage, Patsycat. You will be missed.

Thank you for the news. Very sad to hear, and puts a bit of light onto some of her recent posts.

Long may you live in our hearts Patsy.

Re: Patsycat. RIP

Patsycat's funeral took place this morning, a small gathering of family and friends; thankfully the sun shone.
Patsy will be cremated later today and her ashes then scattered in the grounds of the cemetery Saint Georges here in Geneva.

Her brother and sister would like to thank everyone for all the kind thoughts during what has been a difficult time for them personally, and their gratitude to those EF members who have helped and befriended Patsy over the years.

I could not take any time off as we are in "exams week" but my thoughts were with you and indeed, a nice, sunny and crispy day is undoubtedly fitting for Patsy's departure. I hope you went for a glass or two afterwards, as I'm sure it would have been her express wish.

And I want to personally thank you for being the true friend of Patsy's, visiting and supporting her all the time in her hour of need. You are a true EF heroine and I know you'll hate me for mentioning it, because you are a very modest individual. Forgive me!

Re: Patsycat. RIP

Shedding a tear for this lovely lady I was unfortunate enough not to know, as through reading her posts ... she was a great one.

Life is so precious, I have been closely impacted by cancer twice in recent years and it has taught me to hug those who are dear and live each day to the fullest appreciating it's beauty.

R.I.P. Hope there are lots of kitties for you in heaven!

Re: Patsycat. RIP

I only recently saw this on EF and feel so shocked and saddened by this news.

I only met Patsycat once but she was truly a very special person. I know she was so touched by her blankie and I loved reading her posts.

Anjela, you have been a star with such kindness and compassion x
