What was your high - or low in 2017?

I can't help myself but it's hard to take the world seriously at the moment.

Great Britain and the brexit:

Trump running USA:

meanwhile little Switzerland:

Notice, the little one is standing strong in spite of the headwind

Still, I had a great year. I experienced something very strange but hey, it surely was interesting, had lots of fun, laughed a lot, learnt a lot and I can say I'm very content with 2017.

Hope you feel the same?

Oh wow, that sounds chirpy
You got married this year or was it "just" the celebration of a decision long past?

I do/did, sent you a pm

For me it was part annoying, part ok (probably best to add that first part in the menopause thread........).

That combination does tend to get a lot of attention, yes.

For any of you who have no idea what this thread was or can't find it under the brilliant EF search function (but clearly could have needed it in 2017), here the link:

I have - but they kept you so busy (understandably) that you forgot all about the highs which no doubt happened as well. So here's your chance to remember them.

Here was my highlight:

https://www.englishforum.ch/insuranc...-right-me.html

Maybe that gives you an idea of my direction for 2018.
Pay attention to small print?
A psychologist/psychiatrist?
Surgical removal (not just classic extraction) of family members?

Well, if 2017 was bad 2018 can only get better, right?

LOL, I actually only just noticed it now when I read your post.

Leads to: Is somebody with a homeopathic degree a diluted person?

Re: What was your high - or low in 2017?

High.... 2nd try, of the Pirate and me being an item and this time round it is working out great and re-discovering of my inner hookeress & needle wielding goddess after a decade long break.

Absolute low.....my friends fatal freak accident, still trying to get to terms with that, proably never will.

Re: What was your high - or low in 2017?

High: My new job allowed me to arrange my financial life and to save money. I´m not rich, however I´m a comfortable situation recently.

Low: I was planning to travel finally to New York (USA) for 7 days, but I needed to postpone my plan, coz I don´t want to go there in the Trump´s government.

Hmmm..this is a good thread. High would be productivity, discipline. Low is hard to define, fatigue probably.
