A typical Sunday morning in Switzerland

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9cTIFfbKdg

And you, what do you do on a Sunday when it's miserable weather, everything is shut and your nearest friends are hundreds of miles away?

I yodel.

Re: A typical Sunday morning in Switzerland

I read a good book and then some posts on social media and after that I spend the next half of hour baking or cooking something while wondering how these parallel universes can co-exist.

Listening to Cerys Matthews on BBC 6 Music whilst packing the last few boxes, rolling up the rugs and waiting for the removal truck which comes tomorrow.

Re: A typical Sunday morning in Switzerland

It's ok to yodel. I had to go through a symphony, cram it for the next gig. Then piano, etc.

Otherwise, dissertate. Cook, clean up, read, organize things. Plan the next week and grade papers. Listen to new music. Do some sports when weather/time permits.

Sleep! That's what miserable weather Sunday mornings are for.
Which means I would not like to live next door to you

On the other hand, if I had the choice between you yodelling and my neighbours chopping wood on their concrete balconies upstairs - I'd choose you anytime.

Neighbours need not to worry, the rest of my family keep me in check: the toilets on the top floor, door shut, is the only place where I'm allowed to yodel indoor!

Can I borrow your family to train my neighbours?

Miserable weather or not, it's cold noses poking me awake as soon as the sun breaks on the horizon. Then it's off up and down the Etzel with Hooligan and Heffalump.

As the weather today was particularly miserable, H and H2 came home drenched and utterly filthy. Meaning they couldn't be happier, but I don't even know where the dog ends and the mud begins. So I will spend the rest of the day trying to corral one, then the other, into the shower.

Just your usual Sunday 'round here.
