Where to Buy Spirulina?

Anyone know where to buy Spirulina?

I can order online but thought someone might know somewhere... also looking for vitamins that aren't insanely overpriced at the drug store. thanks!

Re: Where to Buy Spirulina?

You can find it in the health or bio stores (Reformhaus etc), fancy pharmacies, even in bigger Coops. I've got one can of it in powder, bought in Coop. If I remember correctly, cheap it wasn't.

Yep, there you are - 140 g powder (bio) was ≈ 17 chf.

But I like it because it's versatile and I can add it in some of my smoothies. (this can will last me a year or more, probably :-), so unless you plan feeding yourself on this stuff only, the price doesn't look so bad after all)

If the objective is to supplement iron there should be no problem unless it goes bad. If it really contains as much iron as they say I would not eat too much of this though.

@curley

I think there are also quality products coming from organic certified farms in China. The stuff I got from Coop is actually imported, tested and packed by a German company...I don't know what to say, I hope they do their job as they advertise on their site

https://www.nu3.com/nu3-organic-spir...-id-17768.html

I know we tend to look down at most things that come from China, ignoring that they too have been catching up with lots of things lately. Some more on this theme here

But yeah, I see your point. I have my doubts and questions re. the whole "bio" or "organic" thing anyway.

I'm sure buying bio when buying from China is a good idea.

I just think, chances that the field next to the biofield is a Syngenta-test-field is much bigger than around here. (Now even more )
And controlling China ..... is some kind of esoteric wish

It's not looking down, I just think for bio-freaks it's not the place to buy.
For people like me , who aim for bio but don't refuse to swallow anything without the label, Chinese bio is fine.
