I stumbled accross this when searching for tinned lentils WITHOUT anything else like tomatoes, onions, bacon and God knows what.
The reason I want them tinned is because I'm a spontanious eater = I don't want to soak the real thing over night.
Lentils don't need to be soaked, they take 20 minutes or so to cook.

I think they're in most supermarkets. Certainly I've bought them in Swiss Lidl or Aldi (although most of our shopping is done in France, where they're a standard shelf item).
Not here. They're always sold as some menue-type thing, with ingredients and spices I don't want in that manner.
I did check and saw that EDK Germany might have them. But it will be at least an other month until I drive up there.

That's not what I learnt about lentils - apart from some types.
But considering that you're still alive I might just try that

Actually I put cheese in the fridge too, which I mentioned in my post and was clear except to MC apparently.

But now that you mention it, you do have a point regarding most cheeses. But not all of us like the smell of cheese and keeping them out of the fridge gives a 24h experience one might only want to enjoy for 30 minutes.
For that one would need the kind of those big old cellars we had when I was a kid, I'd say.

Thanks, yes, that worked fine.

Did they manipulate the lentils or has it just become the by the "current state of scientific knowledge" that they don't need soaking?

By the way, I found lentils and lentils only in tins. At Coop, Fr. 1.45/130g (did I mention it was Coop?).
They go on the "if I don't eat within 60 seconds, I'll die"-shelf.

Re: Product recall .... is this in your cupboard?

Not a food product, but I saw a sign in Müller today about a recall on makeup removing/facial cleansing wipes.

It's for the CV brand and the wipe product called "Perfect Lift".

Not that I ever buy convenience food but this recall covered most of the page when calling up Migros website. Maybe you put one of these ten products in your cupboard for rough nights. They contain led and the recall is following regulatory action.

Was this problem of excessive lead in a food product detected by the magnets injected into those people when they had the COVID-Vaccine?

Did the packets of risotto literally fly off the shelves and stick themselves to people shopping?

I think we should be told the truth.

Does anyone have a Youtube link to a video showing this happening?

Thanks!

An other recall from Migros.

I learnt today that salmonella can be in dry stuff? For some reason - which I admit I don't know where it came from - I thought they need fluid to live in.

Possibly the same issue, but it has broader reach now.

Product recall by Migros, Jelmoli, et al. of potentially salmonella-infested mustard seeds.
Affected:
- glasses with entire mustard seeds
- pre-made mixtures of the brands Le Chef and Sultans Fancy Rub
- also, seeds sold in bags by "Apotheken" and "Drogerien"

See 20mins with product pictures. And the BLV bulletin for the details of the affected charges.

What is the world coming to when there's more salmonella in 'chocolate' eggs than there are in real, raw ones?

I forgot to check the heating oil in the coldest part of this winter - I was sure we had loads left.

I found out that we didn't a few days later when the hot water wasn't hot.

To be honest, it was only a few days and my main concern was freezing pipes but icy cold showers, wearing thermals under my clothes, lots of blankets and so on just brought back memories of the U.K.

I realised how mollycoddled we are here when my mum asked whether we had gone to bed with our hot water bottles. I had forgotten about that essential night-time accessory.

Switzerland is apparently not affected however cross border (France) shoppers might want to check.

"Since the end of February, France has experienced a resurgence of cases of kidney failure in children linked to contamination with E. coli. Several of these cases are linked to the consumption of Fraich'Up pizzas from Buitoni, produced at the Caudry site, the health authorities have confirmed.
