Was it murder, suicide, or insecticide?

I was in a meeting this morning with a bloke whose fly had died. Unfortunate glimpse of his undies every time he moved.

I was going to eat it but seeing as the internet told me not to I'll hold off.

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought, oh, others must be experiencing the same thing as me. The basement and stairwell of our apartment building are infested with flies. The strangest thing: the flies are of all different sizes. Small, medium, large, extra large.
And they are very slow and moribund (all on the cusp of keeling over), perhaps due to the cold.
The mysteries of urban nature...

The mysteries of urban nature... | | | | | I experience this every autumn/beginning of winter. Takes about a month until it calms down. If in your house/apartment there are visible wooden beams, walls, attic etc. - that's where they are heading to hide and hibernate. But lots of them just end up on your window and fall down dying. Attach mosquito/fly nets to windows. Vaccum cleaner and this sticky foil help to get rid of those that sneak in anyway (and a lot of the will). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cluster_fly |
