Swiss humour on the lake!

Came across this. Anyone who has done the CGN cruise between Montreux and Lausanne...will look at the crew in a very different manner from now on!

You don't need French to get it: https://www.rts.ch/play/tv/26-minute...hhAj2Mj-k_WCnU

Re: Swiss humour on the lake!

There is something wrong with the thread tittle, the first 2 words don't go together.
On second thought, if you think about how much we have to pay RTS (through Billag) to make this piece of X, maybe that's Swiss humour.

Re: Swiss humour on the lake!

Tried as much as I could (and would really need a humour infusion after so many years in Zurich), but didn't find it funny.

Anyone who understands German on the otherhand might enjoy this recent addition to Netflix - it's unbeatable for us non-Swiss living here:

https://www.netflix.com/watch/810256...c2c4dfdc%2C%2C

Anyone without Netflix, it's Kanya Yanar: Reiz der Schweiz

Hilarious, even for the Swiss!
My Swiss daughter (24) told me about it this month as she'd just enjoyed it at a student get-together, and was amazed that these topics are a theme amongst non-Swiss, as she thought it was the same everywhere! Growing up as my daughter, who always did her very best to comply, she finds it naturally hilarious.

Funny thing is, all her Swiss friends found it roll-over hilarious and true as well!

Re: Swiss humour on the lake!

Was it filmed in the seventies? Obviously not with the Titanic movie reference but the swooning over the attractive female 'humour' certainly was.

Do they need to black someone up these days to play the waiter? Really?

Love 26 Minutes - and it is a brilliant way to get to know all the Romands accents, or Swiss German accents in French

It is, after all, SWISS humour and, like its taste for music, is crystallised in a 70s/80s bubble, perhaps?

But you need to travel on one of the CGN steamboats on lake Geneva and study the crew to notice... a certain truth in it!
