KulturLegi Card

Hi!

First off, hello to all! I am not quite sure if I posting this in the right place but there didn't seem to be any other better alternative. To get straight to the point, I was wondering if any students have had experience applying for a KulturLegi Card? From their website:

it seems that you need some proof of low income. As an international student supported by my parents, I don't have an income at all nor a scholarship. Is it then still possible to apply for one?

Thank you for any help!

Welcome to the Forum. I have never heard of the card, but have a bump since you posted this at 1 in the morning, when few people are lurking on EF.

Hi haroldco,

Did you apply in the end, and did you qualify for one? I'm hoping to apply for one, but I can't see how to apply as a student with no income at all.

Re: KulturLegi Card

Rather than start a new thread, I'm adding, here.

Does anyone know, please, whether - for the purposes of potentially being refused a permit renewal or naturalising as Swiss - having been a recipient of a Kulturlegi counts as having drawn "Sozialhilfe" (social security)? And the same question about "Prämienverbilligung" (subsidy of the medical insurance premiums).

I am looking to find a solution to the same questions. I have read somewhere that since the transfer is directly to the insurance and not to the recipient, it is not a Sozialhilfe, but I honestly do not trust this interpretation and I am also looking into it. Maybe beobachter.ch has some hints.
