So you been here 2 weeks yet you claim noise has been ongoing for 2 months and you think you can claim for your partners alleged discomfort ?

Stop taking the piss please

For people who don't seem to understand me ill put it blunt " I am on holidays and I noticed a lot of drilling. My partner noticed it too and in a relationship two people talk you know just incase your not aware of that. Well so I decided to make a thread and get advice. A second opinion as to what me and my boyfriend read online etc. I've had great feedback. Except from you. Your comments are not appreciated and will be utterly ignored from now on. I know your bored hun but go find something better to do.

Heh you must be very unused to online forum messages and notice boards. He is simply trolling you and trying to provoke a reaction... just ignore it. You will be more calm and he won't be offended, I promise.

Why don't you and your boyfriend have a chat with the landlord. Explain that all the drilling from the crack of dawn is a bit wearing and could he have word with the workers. Maybe they can do some of the quiet work first thing, then get on with the drilling later in the morning. May not always work because it's probably following a schedule of some sorts but it might be worth bringing it to his attention.

Slightly better thankfully
Well that’s good to know.

It would have been nice if you’d gone back and updated your thread to that effect, lots of people provided you with useful information on that thread and it would have been polite to acknowledge that.

Don't you worry I follow the rules. I look out for myself and I don't need you doing that for me thankyou very much. Just so you are satisfied I'm only here since 2 weeks but I do post on behalf of my partner too sometimes. A second opinion is always helpful
You're English, you say...? From Devon...?

You beat me to it. Though "hun" in another post suggests UK idiom

As I understood it the OP is a British national who ordinarily resides in Devon and is in Switzerland from time to time.

You could always try doing something else with your boyfriend, maybe he would like to do a bit of drilling too...."after hours" of course

(If of course your back allows such activities)
