Books on Swiss Flora

Hi all!

I've been trying to find field guides for the flora of Switzerland, but I've not had much success looking online (though I am searching in English...).

Infoflora.ch has an Excel sheet of all species recorded here, which is sadly not that helpful when looking at a plant up a mountain.

The main groups I'm interested in are the grasses and flowering plants. I'd ideally like a book in English, but German will do if the plates/illustrations are good!

Any suggestions?

Beautiful book and they also have an app now. Bought it for a friend and though its heavy they say it pretty much has every flower you can find in Switzerland.

Excellent suggestion.
That is indeed a sexy book! However, I wouldn't exactly call it a field guide. Could never justify taking that beauty out into the rain or on a hike. Not quite what I need. Here are examples of guides I have from home:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wild-Flower.../dp/1408179504

Are there no guides like this for Switzerland? That is the vibe I'm getting from Google. Would I need a more general "central European" guide?

I had a plant identification app on my old phone which emailed each photo and result to me. These will give you an idea of what's available.

Tom1234 - that's more like it! I'll buy that

Blueangel - I've an app called iFlora (in German) and that's petty useful. I'm really in the market for books rather than another app though. My phone is crap!

Yes my friend was not one you would call that "normal" but if its a sunny day the pages are usually safe, your back not so much.
