Scuba diving in the Maldives with your daughter to observe dead coral since your last time there... you are a truly worthy environmentalist on a great quest!

Pull the other one!
I used to be a diving instructor on the Maldives, and couldn't care less about anything but the diving that's available there, especially not the all the luxury or tourists that couldn't give a shyt about what they are witnessing.

When I was last there for a longer period, we only had cold running water and the corals were absolutely stunning. That's all gone, within just a few short years!

Coral reefs harbour the highest biodiversity of any ecosystem globally, directly supporting over 500 million people worldwide, mostly in poor countries. Limiting global average temperature to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels (in line with the Paris Agreement) provides the only chance for the survival of coral reefs globally.

I want to ensure that my daughter is more aware than just where to recycle what, or David Attenborough's last research programmes. The island we are visiting is amazing for it's diving, and is making outstanding steps to recover the damage caused by Global ocean warming on the corals.

Our planet is 70% ocean, and we know less about our oceans than we do about Mars. I prefer not to stay ignorant on these issues.

WTF are you talking about. Yes, there was a short demo THIS Saturday - fantastic. What's your problem - did it delay you on doing an open-top Porsche spree?
The people who demonstrate are hypocrites. They drive their cars ,go on flights 3 or many more times a year consume from Amazon and Zalando and make their tons of garbage. And they demonstrate against climate change!

You're not getting it. Their message goes to the climate: How dare the climate change just because it grudges the humans having fun.

I admire Omtastat for this carbon-footprint related post! I never thought I'd see the day he made a thread (albeit inadvertently) which had some value . Now I know Omtastat, it's not a Porsche or even a Ferrari is it, it's a Tesla!

The climate demonstrators are simply tools of the green party. And the green party have only one interest-themselves.

Every Saturday is Climate Demonstration in the inner city ( innerstadt ). What happened to the good old fashioned " shopping spree " on a Saturday afternoon. Or do they (the children and/or the parents ) combine the demo to round off the day? Guess its one method to tire out the children so they are totally bombed out in the evening.
At least you get advanced notice, not like in London today (apologies, but it's the only news portal covering it so far - in Switzerland no-one covered it):

The people are speaking again...

This is getting out of hand. I’m going to prepare a “Save God’s creation. Support depopulation.” banner for the next rally.

PM if you’d like to assist and indicate your preference for carrying right or left side.

The cops are clearly enjoying their work.Watch where you put your finger mate!

Many of the protesters have demanded that the Government limit how many times individuals can fly each year.

Next they will demand that the government limits the number of times one can take a crap! Or that we only flush once a week. Pooohhhhhh!!

Yes these people are DUMB
