Always make it a point to drive as fast as possible to my destinations.
Then my polluting auto spends less time on the road.

Still struggling with the difference between ‘climate change’ and ‘weather’ I see. Don’t worry, Trump’s not managed to nail that one down yet, either.

Captain Fantastic has no particular reputation at present

Stick to a mainly vegetarian diet (could probably improve it more by cutting down on dairy). Use public transport. Try not to buy too much cheap, low quality stuff that needs to be replaced soon. Recycle what I can.

Now one can tell their kid to finish what's on their plate.
Otherwise the world will get even warmer!

Re: Climate change - what do you do to save the world?

I try to live simply and have elevated thoughts

7 Signs Your Thinking Needs Elevating.
You are judgmental of others. Compassionate individuals have learned that the only way to change their external circumstances and improve their world is to stop trying to change others and to focus upon themselves .
You blame your circumstances for the way you feel. A sure sign you’re externally referenced and haven’t yet found the key to the door of your own transformation.
You’re uptight, full of anxiety, lacking in confidence, tired and insecure. Your vision is blurred and this type of thinking is a clear indicator that you’re not yet in harmony with that unlimited self the one that knows and remembers how to fly.
You’re on a constant search for answers for perfection from people outside of you who ‘know best’ and ‘look right’ and’sound good’ and so you never quite commit wholeheartedly to any team, any relationship, any company, any business idea. Get the picture? Just fill in the blanks…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. .
You drown out any self sabotaging or negative thought with a string of positive affirmations in your attempts to override your faulty circuitry yet the more you practise this the greater the resistance.
You are far too sensitive and affected by what others think of you.
You can’t find your purpose or your passion a result of energy depletion, a low state of mind and limited motivation.

Re: Climate change - what do you do to save the world?

Found this article:

https://www.spiegel.de/international...a-1285478.html

From the International Edition of "Der Spiegel".

Very sobering, but probably close to the truth.

When I buy take-out lunch, I try to use my own re-usable plastic dish as much as possible (even though it's a mess to clean, due to amount of fat).

It seems that in the US, it's way cheaper to use plastic one-time-use containers and spoons than having to buy and maintain a dish-washer (let alone buy porcelain dishes and metal cutlery...)

Still thinking about getting a Tesla instead of an ICE car though.

But "cheaper" should not be the only consideration. Not just thinking of climate change, but in life in general. I was shocked that in the rural US even the better hotels right next to national parks (and in theory therefore visited by people with a basic interest in nature) offered their breakfast on single use plastic plates (and dont get me started what they put on those plates…). I was in Frankfurt last week and by now does even at an street food booth the food come on ceramic plates and metal cutlery… you pay a deposit on them to bring them back.
