Why? And some can even mod, of all things

It's called Krav Maga, btw.

Ah, sorry. I admit, I'm too conditioned to not use the word "maga"....

As I said, I wouldn't underestimate anybody.
And I certainly wouldn't say "A woman can't do this or that."

Good.

I wouldn't say "A man can't do this or that" either.

There are also a couple pairs of nice baby pink boxing gloves in the KM gym.

Re: Boredom

I've lived in quite a number of countries, including 3 cities while having kids as a dad working from home and doing much of the childcare. It is so easy to get trapped in not socialising. Especially if you also have a sick partner at home. Do you also care for him/her? That can also restrict your time.

In addition to the other suggestions, I'd suggest one other thing: try and bring the social activity to you if you get get out to it. But this I mean invite other children over for play dates with your child (often a parent joins the first times too when young). Do this initially one at a time so that the relationship can develop, and then offer to host a few people.

In my area, many of the mothers around faced similar barriers to socialising and so we would just organise social activities in our homes/gardens with the kids around as we chatted. My kids are a bit older now, but I see the newer parents with small kids doing the same weekly - especially in the summer outside!

I would love to give German lessons I am a bit of a language talent. I made an ad in the local Migros once sadly no one replied to it. I already saw myself as a teacher. I guess there are just too many out there already
A good friend of mine is looking for a German teacher for a language school in Zurich. It would only be for a few hours a week, but it's a foot in the door. Please contact me by PM if you're interested, and I will share her contact details with you.
