....But behind my counter there's a lot of hot air coming out of my monster cheese fridge!
I've stopped by a couple of times to enjoy one of your excellent draught beers, GG, and can report that there is also plenty of hot air generated on the customer side of the counter...

The reason that having a fan blow air over you makes you feel cooler is that the moving air facilitates evaporation of the sweat. Evaporating sweat is how we cool down when it's hot.

It's *a* reason but not the only one.

We installed a ceiling fan in our bedroom when we remodeled our house 4 years ago. Our project manager and the electrician thought it was quirky (“You’re no longer in Mumbai” - never been to Mumbai ). We love the flow of the air and the white noise. Though sadly it is not loud enough to drown out the crowing of our neighbor’s new rooster! (Are they actually allowed to keep roosters in a regular neighborhood?)

roosters? that sounds like malaysia lol. But good to know you and others use ceiling fans in CH. will investigate more once i'm back.
