Doubt

Hi everyone... I am writing this post because I have an existential doubt. I am a guy from Madrid who was studying English abroad and I met an amazing swiss girl. We started a relation together for 4 months, but we had to come back to our countries. We kept the relation for almost 4 months. Sometimes she came to Spain and other times i went to Switzerland. But the distance was so hard to stand so we decided to break although I was in love. I realised that I had to fight for her and because of that I decided to move to Switzerland
I am trying to find a job in Switzerland, but I havenít got any positive answer yet despite I have been trying it for 2 months, feeling a huge frustration.
I am economist, I am 25 and I have Cambridge c1 level in English but clearly, I donít speak German. I donít have so much experience and I only have worked in Dublin as intern economist for 4 months.
Do you guys think that is impossible to find a job from Spain in Switzerland with my experience or I can have some chance with my CV?

Re: Doubt

Not impossible, but I think, the chances of finding a new girl are slightly higher than finding a new job in Switzerland.

Have you tried the big-4 consulting companies (PWC, KPMG, Deloitte, EY)? In my experience, they are very open to hiring non-German speakers and typically have consistent demand for new consultants.

Second best option would be the insurance companies like Zurich, Swiss Life, etc. They are very international and have many non-German speakers. Banks used to be the same, but since the Swiss banking market is facing an abyss the banks are not hiring as much as they used to in the past.

Are you still in contact with the Swiss girl? How does she feel about you being here?

Is it Friday already?

Re: Doubt

You can offer yourself for farm work through WWOOF Switzerland https://wwoof.ch in return for lodging and by doing a week or two here and there whilst looking for work, you can learn German in a natural environment and it will be cost free.
