Need more background. House clearance? Pilferage? Was it the shaver that killed him? Moral issue or just hygiene considerations?

Re: Would you use a dead manís electric shaver?

two important pieces of missing information:

1. did the shaver kill him?
2. was it an anal hair shaver?

Re: Would you use a dead manís electric shaver?

Donīt use a shaver and using a dead manīs razor would be a bit necrophilic, having said that I use a CPAP at night for sleep apnoe and I bought a second hand unit of the brother of a guy whoīs clogs popped while wearing it one night. The mask was a bit slimy so I didnīt use that but the rest of the machine was alright, so a new mask and pipe and filter and I was ready to rock and roll.

Having said that, I have the feeling that I have the only haunted CPAP in medical history.

Re: Would you use a dead manís electric shaver?

The question for me is if I would use anyoneís razor. Unless it was completely cleaned and felt hygienic, Iíd say no. One shouldnít use other peopleís cosmetics, razors, etc.

The dead have no possessions, therefore it can't be a dead man's shaver. Sorry if that makes your poll suddenly all silly.

If it is an almost new 300,- machine it really is worth it to just buy new blades.

If the dead man is called Occam, I think it's Ok to use his razor.

That is, unless you are a newbie, in which case all is forgiven if you advertise an overpriced piece of IKEA furniture with half the bits missing once you have enough posts.

Re: Would you use a dead manís electric shaver?

I passed up the temptation to hold onto my late father's dentures on the off-chance they become a good fit for me later in life -- but I do use the electric shaver I bought for him a few months before he died. Why not? What else should we do with it?

Eons ago in the last century one could do a test shave with a demo shaver before deciding on buying it!
