Legal Address Different from Home Address?

Dear fellow members,

I have searched similar threads but didn't quite find a solution outside fiduciary addresses linked to CHF300 for those in need of a company address...

One of the companies I work for, has jointly submitted patent applications with me - some of which have been published. Downside: they list my personal home address. Despite polite request along the lines of cease-and-desist - this is explained as "mandatory requirement for the validity of the patents"...

Second (coming but not yet) is the signatory requirement - come next year I will be acquiring rights to sign on behalf of said company: I know moneyhouse and similar websites dig into the public registry to expose personal addresses.

Question - is there an affordable way to hold legal address that would redirect all correspondence to my home [both in Switzerland], that will preserve my right to privacy?

Because 1) I like it that way and 2) the world is full of overly curious people, even in our part of the woods here, here, and even outright creepy funkers like here...]

Re: Legal Address Different from Home Address?

Would it be possible to list a poste box? That is certainly legal. But I don’t know if the registers will accept that. And a post box also has costs and you would need to pick up your mail there. Mine is 230/yr.

If you receive more than 5 addressed letters per day and have your box in the same area where you reside, it is free. However it probably won't be accepted for the register.

I suppose an alternative would be to domicile it at a firm who offers postboxes, mail holding, or with a notary. All come with costs. One would have to research to find out which is the least expensive option.

Can't have a PO address for a company

Domiciliation costs can be upto Chf 500.--/month, depending on services required

I didn't say you could. But you can certainly open one and redirect mail to it. The address from which you redirect the mail doesn't have to be your home address.

And can also cost considerably less.

You can have a post box for a company. But it can not be the registration address. Does the OP need a company to hold that patents?

Re: Legal Address Different from Home Address?

I do not require domicile, or company address; just a proxy forward/po-box. Legal is currently digging what territories/registers allow PO-Box for personal/signatory/inventor address and which are not.
