Furniture fabric

I need approx. 2m of furniture fabric. I would like a natural material (e.g. cotton/wool/etc.).

I know a small shop in Niederdorf and Bolia (though all single coloured) selling some. Do you know some other places that are not too expensive (max 100fr/m) in Zurich to recommend?

Re: Furniture fabric

Probably not easy as in Zurich, but whenever I need that kind of fabric I go across the border to France. Never saw much selection here for that stuff. Overall, excellent quality, price, selection in France.

Re: Furniture fabric

Google "möbilstoff Zurich" and you get several fabric stores. Have you tried them? Pompom's photo looks good, but sometimes these stores have only a bare-minimum website, and it's hard to get an idea of everything they offer.

I only know a couple: one in Zurich but on the very expensive end, and another about an hour from Zurich, again high quality, but their stuff is mostly solid colors, and the only "pattern" is the texture of the fabric.

Cheers

Re: Furniture fabric

You might try Les Tissues Colbert. The interior decoration shop that carries these fabrics in Zürich is here:

https://www.sarp-interiors.com/?avia_forced_reroute=1

I don't know if she stocks the full line, or not. The company's website, which might give you a better idea of what is available, is here:

http://www.lestissuscolbert.com/de/t...de-decoration/

Generally very expensive. But if you only need a few meters perhaps worth a look.

I have to agree with RunningDeer; the choice of quality fabrics in Zürich (in Switzerland in general) is limited, and what is available is generally not to my taste. You will find a much better selection, and better quality, in France, Germany, Italy. Worth a day trip, IMO.

In another thread, EF member TheSpouse recommended:
https://magasins.mondialtissus.fr/ti...annemasse/Q232

In France, just over the border from Geneva. I have not yet been, but have heard recommendations from several people whose taste in home furnishings I tend to share.

Re: Furniture fabric

There's a store called Stoff & So right at Zürich Manegg station.

Strange enough the location is not (yet) listed on their website.

Re: Furniture fabric

Bit of a longshot, but I have probably 2m of Kvadrat Steelcut trio 883 left. So if this is what you are looking for please let me know. This stuff retails here normally at chf 140/m.

Anyway, I do a lot of upholstery projects, often I get the high-end /modern fabrics from this place: https://www.modern-fabrics.com/
