Gratitude for air travel today, as my husband is sitting at Gatwick waiting for his flight back to Basel. I was planning to meet him at the airport, but he's asked me to stay at home and make a nice curry for dinner instead
He didn't know about the young man shuffeling up rubble accross the street (from the kitchen window?) I gather?

My gratitude today goes to:

Child that sleeps like a rock.

Thousands of students who I taught.

EFers who are good buddies.

The Fall break.

Reliable CFF.

People who smile.

Generous and open minded souls.

Re: The October Attitude of Gratitude.

Let's have a look what deserve a little gratitude today....hmmmm.

- holidays and not having to portion the time into 15min time slots the entire day, holidays rock.

- seeing students I taught decades ago, good buddies.

- the weather is really spoiling us, such an amazing Indian summer, swimming it is today.

- people around me with the same goals, thank you for keeping an eye on me and being a great inspiration.

- really good ski specialist, found us a bargain.

- art, cooking, music and creative chaos. My gods for today.

Re: The October Attitude of Gratitude.

I am greatful for:

- everything being wondeful, but only because i have worked so very, very hard for everything that is wondeful in my life and also because i am very very clever and blessed with an amazgin amount of talent and drive

- being better looking than all those un fortunate peeps who are not so good looking as me but perheps they should be greatful too because if you are ugly then you are not having so many people chatting to you on pubic tansport and distracting you from acheiving your GOALS so every body must to have a reasons to be grateful

- being so very fit and sportif but only because i persue my GOALS and work so very very hard wich is why i can now running at 40mph and have to buy a treadmill designed for HORSES

- being surrounded by BRILIANT people who are able to reflect my magnificance back at me because they recognise my HARD WORK AND DRIVE and the fact that i persue my GOALS with PASSION AND DRIVE.

- living in sutch a lovely climate, so nice that i was able to RUN ACROSS THE LAKE AND BACK AGAIN in lovely nice wether, another GOAL fullfilled.

- having students who WORSHIP ME for polishing there BRILLIANCE so they could go out and achive there GOALS and reflect back on me, so nice

- havnig my own garden in wich i am able to grow BEANS and TOMATOES and BANANAS and CHILLI PEPERS like my GRANDMOTHER used to do in our dacha by the ocean and make soup like she use to make but BETTER because i have a actual kitchen with the running water and electicity

- my CREATIVE SOUL wich makes me bring so much pleisure to the peeps around me they must be so very very grateful to know me

Re: The October Attitude of Gratitude.

Gratitude ... I get a day off tomorrow! Yay!

Also, found some awesome dice.

Thirdly, I have bought about a third of the Christmas presents I intend to take back to Country when I visit over the next holidays. After a decade away, there are some who will need big presents ...

Re: The October Attitude of Gratitude.

I‘m sorry MusicChick, but today my gratitude goes to the fact that I‘ve managed to stick it out so long here. But then again, thinking about it, it‘s far better than the place I left (UK).

Oh, thinking about it again, as I watch the fog rising over the lake with the Alps clear in the background this morning on my daily walk over Zurich (it’s just a shame that the sunrise doesn’t start over the alps) then back on the Seil-Bahn before beginning my day, maybe it‘s not such such a bad place after all.

Beats the gloomy, rainy bus-stops where you are afraid for your safety from where I originated.

Life is what you make of it.

Took me a minute to figure out if you meant EF or Switzerland in general.

Anyway, I’m grateful for the ability to travel. I just spent 2 weeks on Cape Cod, visiting a friend. Had a wonderful time, but am glad to be home.
