Terry’s chocolate orange
Worth a flight to the UK
YES! Great minds .... LOL

I was gonna mention that and when I checked the name I saw that the Britshop has a dark version of it now. (Okay, maybe that's only new to me )
I think I'm gonna order me some

And the Teuscher Champagne Truffes are an other one I love.
Yep, to a 'Chocolatier' that's probably mentioning apples and oranges in one breath but hey! Who's the customer!

And the Lindor-Kugeln. Black version.

No one's mentioned Villar's, my local chocolatier? Shame on y'all. Took 3.5kgs over to the States recently for the guys I playtest a video game for.

I hate to disappoint, but this is largely a myth and the few places that sell it now cater to tourists who heard about this myth.

Play the game, contribute to the game's community and might be asked to become a playtester which is what happened to me. This also later lead to me being asked if I'd like to become a moderator on their forum.

Last couple of times they've wanted new playtesters they've asked people to apply.

Re: chocolate bars

More Common: Lindt 85% or 78% from COOP
Special Occasion: Arhuaco Businchari 82% from Globus
Super Special: Sprüngli Grand Cru Truffles

Also is milk chocolate really chocolate? Or is it just milk and sugar, with chocolate flavoring? haha

Re: chocolate bars

Milk chocolate is really chocolate it has cocoa solids/butter in it, i think the minimum is 37% cocoa solids for good chocolate.

White chocolate however is made of sugar and flavourings only, but it only accounts for about 5% of the market

There is a bit of dispute always with chocolate origins. The links below explain milk chocolate origin and then swiss chocolate history.

I was studying in Neuchatel a few years back and came across the first cafe/choc shop set up Phillppe Suchard (the famous chocolatier) if anyone is a foodie and chocoholic, it's worth a visit.

They occasionally organise ‘chocolate brunch’ events on Sunday mornings which are apparently very good indeed.

Re: chocolate bars

To add to the mint theme, Bendick’s bittermints, a must at Christmas. The only problem being that there are 11 in the box! A prime number! And OH knows so there is no stealing the extra...........

I was in the U.K. a couple of weeks ago and brought back to France a box of Bendick’s, a Dark Terry’s Chocolate Orange along with Xmas pud and Mince pies.

Slabs of chocolate are generally Lindt but a box would have to come from Belgium, preferably a little artisan chocolatier in Duisburg near Brussels.

I am really sad that after nearly 20 years away, I find Cadbury’s too sweet and my old favorite, a double decker, more so.

Toblerone is also a favorite
