Media market sale item question

I bought an item on sale Saturday via the website and picked it up in the shop. It is still unopened in the box. Now it is 120 cheaper in a new sale.

Can I ask the difference or buy a new one and return this one?

It's a huge difference

Re: Media market sale item question

I don't think you can ask for the difference, no. If you wish to change things, you'd have to
  • first return the item you bought, get the refund and close that transaction,
  • then start a new, separate transaction to buy another item.

Before you try to do that, first, read the terms and conditions of Sales on the website. Very often, sales specify "no returns". If that's the case, then, no, you can't return it at all. However, if there are no such restrictions, then yes, you could return it. You will be responsible for the packaging and postage.

Please note that, whether a product was bought via a website or in a shop, returns are usually accepted only if the item is
  • completely unused,
  • in the original packaging,
  • with the receipt, and
  • within a certain specified time limit, such as "within 7 days" or "within 14 days" (you'd have to check the terms of your purchase).

I just got it yesterday, not opened. I can't see on the site it says I can't return it. But it's a google translate version. Hence why I asked

Re: Media market sale item question

You have 14 days to return it officially you have to use the return form they offer on their website, but beware that they do not have to give you your money, they can also choose to give you a gift-card for their store.

Excluded are laundry machine, coffee machines, headsets, shaving equipement etc.. basically everything they deem a "hygiene-article"

Re: Media market sale item question

Many companies separate the gift-cards, vouchers, and special offers and conduct their website sales as a separate business from the physical shop. In such a company, if one gets a gift-card from the online service, it may (or may not!) be valid for use it in the brick-and-mortar shop, and vice versa.

If you are offered a gift-card, please check whether you can use it in both the online website and in the shop, or only in one or the other.

Call them or go and speak to them at the local store and explain. Often they will make an effort and may refund the difference.

Its recommended you bring it to the store. Tell them that you made a wrong purchase.

If you buy from a store, you have no legal right of return.

Go to the shop and explain them the situation. They might give you too that discount. Just give it a try.
