Roger becomes first living person on Swiss coins

The BBC is all agog about the Swiss mint issuing a commemorative coin with Roger on it. Apparently the first coin with a living persons image.

Makes me wonder as I thought all the images on current coins are of mythical persons.

So who are those guys anyway?
