Parcel/Postal services over the French border

Are there any postal/parcel services over the French border, similar to the ones in Germany, that I could use to receive letters and packets? Which ones would you recommend?

I'm looking around the Basel region.

St. Gingolph and Evian for those in the Lausanne/Martiginy area
Thoiry and Veigy-Foncenex for those in the Geneva area
Saint-Louis for those in the Basel area.

I'm not aware of any specifically like that, but many online retailers allow you to specify pick-up from a connection point rather than delivery, although you may have to give a fictitious French address to get the order through.

There are a couple of different relay services they use, both of which have a number of different options, including some which will be open later in the evenings, which is sometimes useful, so if you can persuade your shipper to use one of these then you're pretty much home and dry.

You can also have items sent to any post office, eg La Poste.

Re: Parcel/Postal services over the French border

Thank you all for the useful information. What I forgot to mention, I'd ideally like to also have a letter forwarding service (not parcels). Would you have any recommendations?

This seems useful, they apparently forward parcels as well, but not letters, and not from France. But otherwise seems great!
